Partnerships

We are supported by a range of fantastic public and private organisations, foundations, companies, and CSR initiatives to provide an inclusive, diverse and sustainable educational landscape.

Kinia broadens the horizons of children and young people by providing them with access to creative learning opportunities and future focused skills

We believe empowering and equipping educators with the tools to educate and inspire their students is an investment in sustainable change, and that learning creates real opportunity and changes lives for the better. Without access, children and young people will be left behind in a two speed Ireland.

Find out how we can work together to inspire the next generation of creators, problem solvers, collaborators and founders.

PROUDLY SPONSORED BY GOOGLE.ORG
In partnership with Foróige

Google has long supported our work through two major multi-annual grants to develop and deliver technology based education programmes in schools and Computer Science to youth groups in partnership with Foróige. You can read more about CS@Foróige here. The project brought Computer Science (CS) education training, activities, support, events, and professional qualifications to 350 youth workers and 3000 young people.
Together last year, during COVID lockdown, we delivered accelerated upskilling webinars to over 7,000 teachers across the country and continued to provide support to schools and teachers with the Let’s Go Digital Project into 2021.

STEM Create Sponsored by ESB and Rethink Ireland

Since 2014 ESB has supported the growth and scale of TechSpace STEAM activities bringing creative technology professional development to 900 educators across the country. This investment has increased the life opportunities of approximately 9,400 young people by providing access to key STEAM based learning experiences, reference points and aspiration. From 2018 to 2020 ESB also sponsored our annual Creative TechFest event. You can read more about the impact of our current ESB supported programmes here. ESB was a key partner in the COVID Tech2Students campaign with Trinity Access Programme providing funding and logistical support that made the campaign possible.

As part of An Straitéis 20 Bliain don Ghaeilge, DCHG has provided funding and support to develop and deliver the Clár TechSpace programme. Clár TechSpace is for educators in Gaelscoileanna, Gaelcholáistí, Gaeltacht schools, and Irish-language youth clubs, and is delivered in partnership with key Irish language organisations including Muintereas, Conradh na Gaeilge and Foróige. Clár TechSpace has grown from a small pilot project in 2015 to a national programme with a network of 150 Irish language schools and youth services. Read our most recent Clar TechSpace report here.

Digital Clusters Sponsored by Salesforce

Salesforce has supported our work through grant funding to develop and deliver technology based education programmes in schools via a Digital Cluster model. During 2020 Salesforce COVID funding helped us to deliver accelerated digital upskilling webinars to teachers across the country and provided matched funding for Rethink Education Fund. Salesforce volunteers have engaged with us on organisational capacity building, Leadership Training for school Principals and more recently providing vital support to children who need a literacy boost especially after months out of the classroom.

Tech2Students

Our partnership with Trinity Access Programme TCD in response to the digital divide experienced by students in need. Covid 19 showed that the digital divide is real and remains a huge problem for second-level students, those in direct provision and adult learners in marginalised communities. Between 50-70% of students in DEIS schools experience a lack of access to broadband or a suitable learning device.

Creative Ireland

Creative Ireland is an all-of-government culture and wellbeing programme that inspires and transforms people, places and communities through creativity. Recognising the need to provide greater opportunity for engagement with new and emerging technologies, which can support further learning, development or education opportunities the Creative Ireland Programme has partnered with us to develop the Creative Technologies initiative. Read the initial needs analysis report here.
