Introduction to Creative Technology Event | Cavan
Inspire the next generation to be creative with technology at the #KiniaTechTour
We have exciting new opportunities taking place here at your local Broadband Connection Point, in association with the Kinia Tech Tour. Kinia is a capacity-building organisation that empowers communities to be creative with technology in order to broaden skills, aspirations and opportunities for young people.
They are headed on a journey across the country, to deliver Creative Technology training events to adult learners and community volunteers. The Kinia Tech Tour will feature a blend of in person and online training sessions.
The initial event will showcase what’s on offer at Kinia, and will cover:
• Mobile Filmmaking
• 3D Printing
Attendees will be introduced to each of the above, allowing them to figure out what further training events they would like to attend, so they can take that knowledge back to their community.
The initial Creative Technology event will be an open session with the Kinia team for people to see and try out the different equipment and see what would be possible with young people after completing the funded training’s on offer. The Kinia will return in the following weeks with the opportunity for the community to attend funded trainings.
All programmes will be offered through the English and/or the Irish language, and are sponsored “Train the Trainer” sessions, which means in some cases fully funded, provided participants are over 18 years of age, and working with young people in a voluntary/paid capacity, but places are limited.
Kinia will provide all the equipment needed to deliver an engaging and sustainable project based learning for the trainings .
