Safeguarding Students and Staff in your Digital Learning Environment
Safeguarding Students and Staff in your Digital Learning Environment
Date: 28th August, Clayton Hotel Silver Springs, Cork – 9am – 1pm
This practical seminar will look at the requirements for a robust and safe digital ecosystem for students and staff. Real world examples as well as hands-on experience will be used to emphasise how digital safeguarding is the primary aim of formulating a digital strategy and action plan. This session will also focus on the advantages of creating a digital strategy for education that addresses regular and consistent staff and student training and upskilling.
Many schools and educators set up digital systems and accounts for staff and students, aiming to modernise and streamline learning and workflows. However, a digital learning environment isn’t just switched on, then left running without further attention.
Practical outcomes of this event will include leaving with a digital audit of your environment, exploration of next steps in digital governance and a greater knowledge of how safe your school’s data and learners are with Google for Education.
