Kinia Educator

TechFest ’23

A Creative Technology event just for educators, we are building on the success of last year’s event and preparing something great for you!

The event is free of charge, but places are limited. It will be held on Tuesday 14th November 2023 at The Foundry in Google, Dublin.

It’s a special event that builds on our model, to reach and empower educators, so we can reach and empower more young people across the country.

Panel Discussions:

At the event we will be hosting an array of exciting panel discussions, with keynote speakers, industry professionals, educators, and youth representatives, covering topics such as:

“Addressing the Skills Gap,”
“AI the future and impact on education” and
“Building inclusive careers and learning pathways.”

CEO & co-founder of Kinzen (acquired by Spotify). Founder of social news agency Storyful (acquired by News Corp). Led Twitter’s media team in Europe. Former TV news anchor & foreign correspondent.

“This kind of event gives me the hope… we’re going to be teaching and educating the next generation to think about purpose driven innovation, and technology that has human values”

– Mark Little, CEO and co-founder of Kinzen (acquired by Spotify)

Educator TechTalks:

Educators will have the opportunity to attend Educator TechTalks to learn about projects that resonated with young people, directly from their peers.

There will be networking time allocated for guests to connect with others who share their interests and goals.

Educator feedback from the event

“I think this is an event that is needed and I can see it growing year on year. I would suggest you set a date as soon as you can for 2023 (if you haven’t already!) and it will be in the diary as a ‘must see’ for educators.”

“The last panel discussion was really timely, hearing first hand accounts from young people who were failed in various ways by mainstream education and yet the world hadn’t ended, far from it, was inspiring (sounds cheesy but I mean it).”

“Professional, fruitful, engaging and innovative.”

“Firstly well done. The event was very professionally organised and a great opportunity to meet people from both formal and informal education sectors with an interest in this area, so the whole team should be very pleased. Take a bow.”

“To me it feels like a ‘movement’ rather than a one day event. I will happily spread the word”

Acclaimed TEDx speaker, Dr. Scanlon was named one of Forbes “Top 50 Women in Tech” globally and ranked 6th of 17 global “Visionaries in Voice” by industry-leading publication

“Technology is at its most powerful when it is inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or ability.”

– Dr. Patricia Scanlon, Founder of SoapBox Labs.
